Wayport Privacy Policy
Between Wayport A/S, Gersonsvej 7, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark, registered under business no. 26 82 29 63 with the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency ("Wayport" or "we"), acting as the data controller established in Denmark according to Danish privacy law (and local mandatory requirements), and the user ("Customer" or "you")
1.General information
1.1 This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") governs users of Wayport A/S' websites ("Wayport Websites) as well as end-users' use of the Wayport high speed internet access services (the "Services") at the venues, to the specific extent and within the time limits, if any, agreed between you and Wayport. Your privacy is important to Wayport and therefore Wayport is committed to respecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal data. This Privacy Policy gives an account of which personal data is collected by Wayport when you use the Wayport Websites and the Services and of how such data and personal data is processed by Wayport.
1.2 We do not collect any personal information via the Wayport Websites, only when using the Services.
2 Collection of personal data when using the Services
2.1 When you use Wayport's Services, Wayport may – depending on the circumstances – collect and process the following personal data: your name, your email address, the MAC address, the date and time of your access to the Services and of your termination of a session, data consumption on each transaction/connection to the Services, the venue of your access and your room number, the first and last four digits of your credit card number, your user name used to gain access to the Services if you are an employee at the venue, the venue where a prepaid card is sold or obtained and the venue where it is used.
3.Collection of data in cookies when using the Services and Wayport Websites
3.1 Wayport uses cookies on the log-in sites of the Services and on the Wayport Websites. A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard disk. Wayport uses cookies in order to be able to optimize the Wayport Websites and the Services. A cookie makes it possible to register the date and time of a visit and to track the user's movements. A cookie also makes it possible to register browser type, version and language settings. However, the registered information cannot lead to an actual identification of a user and is only compiled with a view to evaluating and improving the Wayport Websites and the Services. The application of cookies facilitates efficient and easy use of Wayport Websites and Wayport's Services.
3.2 You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie so that you always have the chance to consider whether you want to accept it or not. You can also choose to switch off this feature entirely.
3.3 The cookies we collect do not include any personal data such as data about your IP address, email address or any other personal information.
4.Wayport’s use of your personal data
4.1 We collect personal data in order to provide the Services requested by you, (including providing customer support, resolving disputes, collecting fees, comparing information for accuracy and information security purposes, verifying your identity) and in order to comply with legal requirements under applicable law such as data retention and interception obligations.
4.2 Wayport will collect, process and use your personal data only if, to the extent and for as long as it is necessary to provide the Services or Wayport is required to do so under applicable law. Under no circumstances will Wayport process, use or store your personal data for a period exceeding the maximum period permitted under applicable law.
4.3 Wayport will not use your personal data for other purposes than providing the Services (in particular marketing purposes) or in any other way than described above without your unambiguous prior consent thereto.
4.4 If and to the extent it is necessary for the provision of the Services, Wayport may transfer your personal data to, and your personal data will be collected, processed and used by, other companies of the Wayport group (subsidiary and associated companies of Wayport) or third parties (such as your venue (e.g. hotel) in case the price of the Services will be charged to your room bill), however, in each case only if, to the extent and for as long as permitted under applicable law.
5.Wayport’s protection of your personal data
5.1 Wayport takes all appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect your personal data and Wayport has implemented the necessary security measures in order to safeguard your personal data and in order to ensure that our internal procedures comply with our security policy.
6.Access to your personal data etc.
6.1 You have the right to gain access to the personal data collected and processed by or on behalf of Wayport about you, however, with certain legal limitations. You also have to right to object to the collection or processing of your personal data and to rectify the data collected or processed if relevant.
